According to journalist Sydney Fowo of the KAN FC podcast, head coach Hernan Losada told a press conference on Thursday that the Quebecois suffered a different injury than at the start of the season.
At the beginning of March, Piette was hit in the adductors and had to refrain from activities for almost a month. He returned to action on Saturday, playing 10 minutes in CF Montreal’s 5-0 thaw against the Whitecaps in Vancouver.
The 28-year-old midfielder has featured in three games this season. Last year he played 26 games in Major League Soccer, including 16 in the starting XI.
