The Sûreté du Québec attacked three locations simultaneously yesterday, Vingt55 noted, while three apartments were searched by police officers and investigators from the Sûreté du Québec (SQ), Sergeant Valérie Beauchamp confirms in an interview with Twenty55. “Rue Alexandre, St-Alphonse and Boulevard Mercure in Drummondville as well as two vehicles were searched,” the spokesman said.
During the police operation and search, approximately 100 grams of cannabis, more than 65 grams of cocaine, almost 1,700 methamphetamine tablets, prescription drugs, as well as contraband cigarettes and cell phones were seized.
Eight people were arrested, including six men and two women, confirmed Sergeant Valérie Beauchamp. A 31-year-old man from Drummondville and a 23-year-old woman from Gatineau appeared at the Drummondville courthouse. The other people and suspects arrested yesterday have been released and, depending on the ongoing investigation, could possibly be charged with drug trafficking, specifies Sergeant Beauchamp.
