A motorist who crashed into a concrete wall in the Beauport area on Wednesday night is wanted by police after fleeing the scene.
The incident happened just before 9 p.m. near the Dollarama on Boulevard des Chutes. For reasons that are still unknown, the driver parked his vehicle before fleeing on foot.

“Fortunately, we have many witnesses in the area who did a good job of describing the crime scene and the suspect,” said Marie-Pier Rivard, spokeswoman for the Quebec City Police Service (SPVQ).

Land searches were carried out in the evening, in particular with the help of a dog handler, but the motorist, who is believed to be between 30 and 40, has not yet been located.
However, authorities are confident they will be able to locate the individual based on the large number of witnesses and information from the vehicle’s license plate.

Note that no one was injured in the accident.
