A Brit decided to make his discovery public when he moved into an old house with his sister and searched the attic. Some packages surprised the new residents.

Scott Bevan and Deborah Phillips bought a house in Castle Vale, England, and wanted to change the old structure of the property a bit. To do this, it was necessary to break parts of the ceiling, which until then seemed normal.

“I have agreed to help my older sister in the new house. She asked me to remove some wooden beams from the ceiling and tear down her fireplace,” he told the Birmingham Evening Mail.

Two packages were previewed by the British. In the first it was possible to perceive old newspapers and photographs of the former owner. In the other, near the fireplace, the discovery was a little more interesting.

There was a letter wishing happiness and happiness to the future tenants. “We came here at the end of May 1967, so it was newly built and we found contentment and security within these four walls. We hope you enjoy the house and garden as much as we do,” the note said.

Scott was thrilled, especially when his sister moved away after a brain aneurysm and longed to be closer to her family. “That’s what the world is lacking right now: thinking of others,” he concluded.

Involved in the story, the man looked for the relatives of the former tenant and commented on the crime. He returned the found photos and eventually became friends with the woman’s relatives.
