At quarter past four Thursday afternoon, police responded to a 911 call at the dentist's office on North Magnolia Avenue in El Cajon, a city about 15 miles northeast of San Diego.
First responders provided “life-saving assistance” to three victims.
The dead victim was male, according to police, who did not publicly identify him.
Authorities said the medical examiner's office is responsible for identification.
Rob Ransweiler, the city's police captain, informed the press on Thursday evening. He said officers found the victim who died during the office shooting and took him outside where they could safely perform life-saving measures.
