Hitchcock’s first American film is a marvel of narrative suspense from the start, with the line “Last night I dreamed I was returning to Manderlay…” floating around. Hitchcock emphasizes the dark tone of the story and makes the presence of Rebeca, a perpetually absent character, palpably felt.

The AMC station SELEKT broadcasts programs that attempt to shed light on various aspects of Francisco Franco’s dictatorship with two programs: “Assassinating Franco: the Resistance against a Dictator,” which examines the more than 20 failed assassination attempts. And Franco: the whole truth, a look back at 40 years of dictatorship. Therefore, this special examines one of the darkest periods in Spain’s history.

Telecinco dedicates part of this evening to Miguel Bosé. First with the broadcast of the third chapter of the Bosé series, in which Miguel meets another of his great loves, Giannina Facio. Although she is the girlfriend of Julio Iglesias, together they celebrate the success of the song Bravi Ragazzi in Italy, among other episodes set in Miami and Madrid. Joaquín Prat will then host a special from 12:15 a.m. in which the artist’s sisters, Lucía and Paola Dominguín, Bibiana Fernández and José Manuel Parada, will comment on the episode.
