On Tuesday, a 69-year-old motorcyclist died in a collision with a tractor in Sainte-Christine, Montérégie. He wanted to overtake on the village road just as the tractor turned left to head towards farmland.

Two days earlier, a 57-year-old woman was hiking with her daughter in the same region when her motorcycle crashed into a car in Marieville, cutting her off on a corner.

Danielle Cormier was thrown from her machine and then hit by another vehicle that was unable to avoid her. The mother of the family died and her daughter suffered serious injuries.

Four other deaths occurred in Lévis, Saguenay-Lac-Saint-Jean, Sept-Îles and Bas-Saint-Laurent over the past weekend.

The start of the season is therefore difficult for motorcyclists this year. The good weather forecasts for the weekend will not help anything to improve things.
