When asked on Tuesday whether the 23-year-old skater would only miss the evening duel against the Toronto Maple Leafs, head coach Peter Laviolette did not want to give an answer. The person whose comments were shared by The New York Post newspaper simply stated that the athlete was absent for personal reasons.

Zac Jones will take his place on the Blueshirts' blue line for the game against the Queen City team.

Miller is off to a very good start to the 2023-2024 season. He averaged more than 22 minutes per game and collected five goals and seven assists for 12 points. The American also blocked 34 shots and scored 24 hits.

Miller was selected in the first round (22nd overall) of the 2018 auction and signed a two-year contract last summer worth a total of $7.74 million.
