A new country festival in Chesterville – La Nouvelle Union

Christian Lemieux from the group Dark Whiskey is organizing a country festival in Chesterville for the first time. This will take place on September 28th, 29th and 30th.

For the occasion, a large heated marquee will be erected at the community baseball field for the comfort of festival goers. You are entitled to a high-quality national program consisting of 17 shows. And 130 motorhome owners have already reserved their space. “I did a show in Chesterville two years ago and found the place dynamic. That’s when the idea came to me to organize a festival,” summarizes Christian.

So he got to work and will offer the first, but probably not the last, version of the festival that will close the season. It begins on Thursday, September 28th at 7:30 p.m. with Pamela Rooney, followed by Jessy M. Champagne at 9:00 p.m. The first evening ends at 10:30 p.m. with the performance of Annik Gagnon.

On Friday, Éric and Lyne will open the program at 1 p.m. Christian’s band Dark Whiskey will be on stage at 6 p.m. Stéphane Picard will take the stage at 7:00 p.m., followed by Steeve Desmarais at 8:30 p.m. Then don’t miss New Brunswick’s Rhéal Leblanc’s show at 10 p.m., followed by a second performance by Dark Wiskey to close the evening well. .

On Saturday, Sylvain Boudreau will open the festivities at 1:00 p.m., then Carol Renaud will entertain the audience at 2:30 p.m. Ian Couture will follow at 4pm, before Dark Whiskey’s final performance scheduled for 6pm. Christian states that only Réal Dupuis and Manon Roy will appear on stage for this show. It has to be done.

François Laliberté follows at 7 p.m., Ghis Mongeon at 8:30 p.m., Daniel Davidson (10 p.m.) and it all ends with Les Element. “I hope to be able to welcome between 500 and 600 people per day,” hopes the organizer. Two thirds of the area in the marquee is reserved for shows, the rest serves as a dance floor and bar. “There will be music to dance to between the shows,” he adds.
