When polling stations closed in 2018, 66.45% of Quebec voters had exercised their right to vote. It was the lowest percentage since Jean Charest’s Liberal government was elected in 2008.

The record turnout dates back to the Parti Québécois elections in 1976, when 85.27% of voters went to the polls.
