Police have arrested a transgender woman from the Laurentians for various child pornography offenses. The defendant is also a repeat pedophile.
Krystel Lauzon, 39, was arrested Thursday by police officers from the Sûreté du Québec's Internet Child Sexual Exploitation Investigation Team.
He is accused of accessing and possessing child pornography material. She also faces charges for violating terms and conditions.
Police conducted a search of the suspect's home and seized computer equipment for analysis.
Police also confiscated around a hundred methamphetamine tablets and 45 packs of contraband cigarettes at the scene.
This isn't Krystel Lauzon's first run-in with the law regarding child pornography. Formerly named Danny Lauzon was sentenced to four years in prison in 2022 after admitting guilt to charges of producing, distributing and possessing child pornography.
The pedophile was also arrested in October 2020 for possession of child pornography, but benefited from a stay of proceedings in the case.
Krystel Lauzon, who openly presents herself as a trans woman on social networks, has published numerous messages in recent years defending the rights of transgender people.
