A perfect evening for Patrick Kane

A perfect evening for Patrick Kane

Detroit Red Wings forward Patrick Kane couldn't ask for anything better for his return to Chicago. And “Showtime” had fun scoring the winning goal in overtime, giving his team a 3-2 win.

Kane broke away from Petr Mrazek, whom he defeated with an accurate shot to end the match.

Number 88 finished the evening with a goal and an assist.

“I’m feeling a lot of emotions right now,” Kane said immediately after the game, according to the NHL website. To score that goal, to be here again, to be on a different team.

“It's so special. With this tribute, expect nothing less from the Blackhawks. I don't know if I did enough laps [de patinoire] or too many revolutions. The guys told me to do another one. There were some who wanted to see four. I only did three. It was great.”

And Kane had a message for Chicago fans.

“I'm just trying to show the fans that in the end they will always have my heart,” he confessed. It was a special 16-17 years. It was great.”
