This is what happened:
On Monday, the Instagram account posted a photo of Rafaëlle Roy, a former La Voix finalist, and announced that the singer had been seen in the hospital “under police surveillance.”
The account was linked to an article reporting several rumors.
A few hours later, the singer responded on social networks with a request to “set the record straight.”
The mother of two says she sought help and suffered in silence for too long. The artist emphasizes that she was sober during her hospital stay, despite what the anonymous “witnesses” in the Qc Scoop article said.
She also had a message for the person who photographed her in a very vulnerable moment in the hospital and sent the photo to Qc Scoop: “Sending you love and wishing you value yourself differently.”
Under the publication, several artists offer their support to Rafaëlle and are upset. These include Olivier Dion, Véronique Cloutier and Alicia Moffet.
Here are some reactions:
“How many lives have been damaged [par les histoires de pages à potin], how many broken families will it take? asks Véronique Cloutier.
The site Qc Scoop has since removed its publication with Rafaëlle’s photo, which looked like this.
The article was originally edited to include the artist’s version and her Instagram post. But hours later, on Monday afternoon, there was no trace of the incident on the gossip account.
Then an apology message was posted. The administration says it will examine its conscience and be more careful in the future.
