crown–lockdown It is home Office have the personal hygiene Apparently, it hasn’t been done well in Austria: according to a representative GfK survey published on Wednesday with 1,000 participants, commissioned by the online retailer “Galaxus”, one in three people in this country wash their bedding very rarely.
Almost a quarter of men don’t change their underwear every day, and 1.5% only change them every week.
Disinfectants and endless hand washing were apparently just one side of the pandemic. Because limited social contact has also caused many people to start neglecting their cleaning and washing routines in their private lives.
After all, 83% of respondents change their underwear as recommended at least once a day. However, nearly a quarter of men negotiate less frequently, compared to one in ten women. By age group, people over 50 wear dirty underwear most often, followed by 15- to 29-year-olds. There are also many grumbles among respondents with little education.

Many Austrians apparently love that their rooms are a little musty. According to the recommendation, beds should be made every two weeks – more than a third of respondents do this less often. Compared to German-speaking countries, we are in the middle of the field – Germany ranks first in the horror rating. A ray of hope: With age, people in Austria seem to be becoming more and more hygienic, at least in the bedroom.
Hygiene includes, among other things, replacing your toothbrush regularly – at least every three months. The 15-29 age group is the most neglectful, with just under 20 percent not doing it. In a country comparison, Austria and Switzerland do significantly worse than their German neighbours. In Austria there are almost 15 percent, twice as many toothbrush holders as in Germany.
When it comes to personal hygiene, of course, bathing and bathing cannot be missing. Two to three times a week is recommended. Compared to the other categories, things look nice here. More than half shower or bathe every day, a third every other day, 15 percent every three to six days, while the rest apparently enjoy making their presence known by smell.
