A Queensland father has become a die-hard fan of the children’s series Bluey by creating an unofficial “tour” video using the real-life filming locations of the hit animated series.

Karl Mander, a Brisbane content creator and former Hit Network host, took his toddler on an “unauthorized” visit to some of the locations made famous on the show.

Bluey follows the adventures of an “lovable, inexhaustible six-year-old Blue Heeler dog” with her family and friends.

Sharing the clip with his stories, Karl can be seen pushing his tot in a stroller while “hosting” the video.

“Today I’m starting my new job by running unofficial, unauthorized and unsolicited Bluey tours of Brisbane,” Karl captioned the video.

“Right now, my tour bus has only one seat and is only accessible to family members.”

The footage of Karl appears to show the real street locations that the creators used as inspiration for his story.

Launching on ABC in 2018, Bluey was soon acclaimed for its refreshing characters – notably Bandit as a capable and clever father contrasted with the bumbling background character common in children’s programs.

It also received rave reviews from critics and parents alike, who applauded its good-natured storylines and riffs about modern parenting.

One of the few children’s shows that parents and children alike enjoy, Bluey eventually won a slew of awards around the world, including a Kids Emmy in 2019 for his lurid episode Sleepytime.

In a list of the 100 Greatest Sitcoms of All Time published by Rolling Stone, Bluey reached 96, making it the only Australian series to be featured.

The cartoon has become very popular in the US after it premiered on Disney Channel, Disney Junior and Disney+ in September 2019.

It remains the most downloaded show in ABC history.
