A rather unusual new job for PK Subban

After a hockey player and television analyst, PK Subban now works as a security guard.

On Wednesday, the former Montreal Canadiens defenseman posted videos of himself at work at his new job at the Calgary Stampede. This is obviously a marketing initiative for the event which attracts many Albertans each year.

“I take my job very seriously,” Subban said. You know what? There are several big stars coming to town and I have to make sure everything runs smoothly.”

The 34-year-old retired from the National League at the end of the 2021-22 season, his third appearance with the New Jersey Devils. He also spent three seasons with the Nashville Predators, in addition to the seven seasons he was a member of the Sainte-Flanelle.

Subban then made the leap into the media, where he worked as a hockey analyst for the American broadcaster ESPN.
