A retrospective of the work of Denis Villeneuve, presented at the Lincoln Center in New York

Denis Villeneuve's cinema will be in the spotlight at the prestigious Lincoln Center in New York for the next two weeks.

To mark the release of Dune: Part II, the organization Film at Lincoln Center – which oversees the cinema department of the famous New York arts center – has put together a major retrospective of the Quebec filmmaker's work.

From February 16 to 28, New York moviegoers can see most of Denis Villeneuve's Hollywood films (including “Prisoners,” “Sicario” and “L'Arrivée”), but also some of his Quebec features such as “Incendies” and “Polytechnique.” watch or watch again.

Villeneuve was involved in the programming of the event and selected 14 films that greatly inspired him and which will also be shown during the retrospective. Among this list we find the Quebec masterpiece “Pour la suite du monde” by Pierre Perrault and Michel Brault, “Pierrot le fou” by Jean-Luc Godard, “Apocalypse Now” by Francis Ford Coppola, “Alien” by Ridley Scott and “ Close Encounters of the Third Kind by Steven Spielberg.
