On Sunday, the New York Post reported that the 39-year-old quarterback will wear his uniform for next Saturday’s preseason game against the New York Giants.
Rodgers has not played a preseason game since the 2018 season when he played for the Green Bay Packers. The fans therefore did not expect to see him in action until September 11 for the first duel of the regular season.
“I wouldn’t mind playing one during a preseason game,” Rodgers said at the start of training camp. […] Most coaches are afraid of the first week and don’t want to take any risks.”
During the Jets’ first three preseason games, the veteran worked on the touchline. Several times we saw him give advice or suggest plays to Zach Wilson, who had all three starts.
