A Sephora employee shares the dupes for high-end makeup items from Charlotte Tilbury, NARS, and others

A former Sephora employee has broken her silence on the best drugstore dupes for the best-selling, high-end makeup products.

Catherine Lockhart, from Texas, has spent years of her career selling expensive makeup to clients – and now uses her extensive knowledge to look after her 83,000 TikTok followers.

“I used to work at Sephora. So when I use something at the drugstore, you know it has to be good,” she said in a new video.

“I’ve found a very specific selection of products at the drugstore that I feel are just as good, if not better, than the Sephora products I love.”

The beauty influencer then listed her favorite budget products for creating the perfect base makeup, including foundations, concealers, powders and cream bronzers.

Catherine also shared dupes for viral products, like the Charlotte Tilbury Hollywood Contour Wand and the Kosas concealer.

The former Sephora employee always starts her routine with a tinted moisturizer.

While Charlotte Tilbury’s Hollywood Flawless Filter ($65) might be a high-end alternative, Catherine uses Maybelline’s Dream Fresh BB Cream ($23).

“This is my pick for light makeup days,” she said. “It has light to medium coverage, it doesn’t bother my skin and it’s absolutely perfect.”

But for days when Catherine needs more coverage, she uses L’Oreal True Match Foundation ($34).

“The formula and finish is very similar to Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk ($105) – the only downside is that little dropper situation is horrible. But I love her, so I accept it.’

The TikTok star also found a budget version of the NARS Light Reflecting Foundation ($73).

“L’Oreal Age Perfect Serum Foundation ($37) is a perfect cheat,” she said. “Medium to full coverage, beautiful kind of satin finish, it’s just a no-fuss foundation. I always reach for it when I know I really want my skin to look good and I want a little more coverage.”

For concealer, Catherine admitted Kosas Concealer ($42) was her “holy grail” — but ELF’s 16-Hour Camouflage Concealer ($14) comes “very, very close.”

“It’s full, full coverage,” she revealed. “It doesn’t have a dewy finish like Kosas’s, it lays down more matte, but it’s beautiful.”

She added: “Stay all day. Doesn’t wrinkle on me. I love her.’

Catherine also uses a special trick where, instead of a tanning product, she buys a darker concealer to replace her Charlotte Tilbury Contour Wand ($57).

“The Revlon Colourstay Skin Awake ($26.95), and that’s actually a concealer, works very similarly to the famous Contouring Wand — they even have the same applicator,” she said. “I use it in shade 075 and it blends really well and lasts all day.”

When it comes to powder, the former Sephora employee can’t live without the L’Oreal Infallible Fresh Wear Powder Compact ($20).

“I love it to fix my face, it mattifies under the eyes really well.”

“The Maybelline Fit Me Powder ($15.99) in ‘Translucent’ is really brightening too. They last a very long time, they are great.”

‘The L’Oréal Serum Foundation has replaced all my high quality foundations!!! It’s so good – I don’t know what they put in it haha.’
