In one of the best evenings of this edition of the Copa Libertadores, Paraguay’s Olimpia defeated Flamengo coach Jorge Sampaoli 3-1 on Thursday 10 August, leaving him no chance of progressing to the next stage of the international tournament. Because of this, the Paraguayan club qualified for the quarter-finals and brought great joy to their fans, who cheered throughout the game at the Defensores del Chaco.
While at the end of the duel the Uruguayan team was full of joy and satisfaction at having achieved such a feat, the Brazilian team couldn’t believe what happened as they had a slight advantage at the beginning of this signing. Since then they defeated “Dean” 1-0 in the first leg.
For this reason, the fans of “Fla” raged on social networks with all their feelings against the club of their love.
In some comments on the Brazilian team’s main twitter, fans called for Argentina’s Jorge Sampaoli to step down, while others lamented that his side “play for nothing, deserve nothing” and that they are “a… shame”.
