Shocking footage showed the moment a Texas school official brutally beat a student in a foster family in a violent school bus frenzy.

The attack happened as the bus was taking the children home Thursday in Conroe, Texas, just a day after the students returned to school for this year.

It’s unclear what, if anything, sparked the violent attack, as video was captured of terrified students in the back of the bus hearing screams, ‘You’re on the video!’ You just hit a kid!’ The child is in foster care and required emergency treatment for injuries Activist Sarah Fields.

The attacker, who was a school bus spotter for the Conroe School District before being fired immediately for the incident, was seen pushing the student to the ground and then raining down several blows on him.

As the students watch in horror, the school staff member appears to grab his shirt and yell in his face.

The Texas Police Department has opened an investigation into the attack and expects criminal charges to be filed for the attack.

Conroe High School students expressed outrage at the incident, with one describing it as “merciless.”

“I was honestly shocked, I never expected to see someone who should be a role model and a leader in our school, like a staff member.” would get,” Alexa Perez told Click2Houston.

“I was really surprised, I didn’t think any teacher would ever honestly do that,” added Evelyn Segura.

“Are we really safe at school?” asked another student about ABC13. “Getting to the point where you have to use force is insane.” The teenager, who recorded the incident and asked not to be named, told the outlet the beating was unlike anything he’d ever seen.

After the footage quickly circulated online, residents demanded responsibility for the behavior of the bus crew. A local activist also claimed that the student “told the bus driver’s assistant that he was being disrespectful” before the attack.

The student who was attacked is also reportedly living at a Department of Family and Protection Services facility.

In a statement after the attack went viral, Conroe ISD communications director Sarah Blakelock said the employee lost his job at the county’s transportation department.

“We are concerned by this unacceptable behavior, which is not representative of our hundreds of hard-working transport workers,” Blakelock said.

“The individual is no longer employed in the district and the Conroe ISD Police Department is completing its investigation in anticipation of criminal charges.”

After being taken to hospital by the school official, the teenager has since been discharged and is now recovering.

The Montgomery County District Attorney’s Office said it is assisting police in investigating the attack.

Law enforcement officials have said they expect to file criminal charges against the attacker.
