Snow drifts are still expected in Quebec on Saturday, while mercury will remain below zero all weekend, according to Environment Canada.
In fact, almost all western and central regions of the province will see snowflakes except for Greater Quebec, northern Chaudière-Appalaches and Saguenay – Lac-Saint-Jean. The accumulations vary between five and ten centimeters depending on the region.
The clouds will be present in the sky for the spared regions which, however, will not escape the freezing cold: for the Capitale-Nationale a wind chill of -13 is to be expected, while in Saguenay – Lac-Saint it will reach -28 -Jeans. There is a risk of frostbite in these regions.
As far as the east is concerned, clouds will also characterize the sky over Bas-Saint-Laurent. Extreme cold is also to be expected for these regions: The wind chill will remain below -19 in the entire area. However, the sun can be seen both in Gaspésie and on the north coast.
