A stroller with a toddler falls into a harbor

It’s a scene that almost became a tragedy: a stroller carrying a month-old baby crashed into a port on the French island of Corsica on Thursday.

According to the France 3 channel, the accident occurred at around 3 p.m. at the marina in the municipality of Saint-Florent in Haute-Corse.

The baby was quickly recovered by his father, who jumped into the water without thinking about bringing him back to shore, Fire and Rescue Service firefighters said.

Although his life was out of danger, the victim was treated by an emergency medical team and taken to hospital as a precaution.

A similar event occurred on September 6, when a four-month-old baby fell into a river in his stroller in Pas-de-Calais, northern France.

The baby’s mother, who jumped into the water to save her, was trapped in the mud, but firefighters arrived just in time to pull the two victims out of the water.
