The Accommodation du Parc supermarket in the northern part of Chicoutimi burst into flames on the night of Friday to Saturday.
About fifteen firefighters from the Saguenay Fire Department have been mobilized to respond to this fire, which is considered suspicious. The event occurred around 2:30 a.m. on Cabot Street.
When they arrived, the flames were clearly visible, according to operations manager François Grenier. The building was significantly damaged.
The origin of the fire is currently unknown. The crime scene was secured by the police during the course of Saturday due to the ongoing investigation. Saguenay police declined to comment on the matter at this time.
