The Suzuki Jimny could get a literal performance boost as an all-electric model by 2030 after Suzuki invests billions in electrification. After a relatively long period of uncertainty about its stance on electric vehicles, Suzuki is committing nearly $35 billion to the production of a line of five electric vehicle models to be launched in Europe by the end of the decade, one of which could be a Jimny- be an electric vehicle.
Suzuki’s multi-billion-dollar leap into electric vehicles will expand into markets in Japan, Europe and India, according to Portal, but its first all-electric models will first be launched in its home country of Japan in 2023. Europe and India will follow in 2024 and within the following six years, Suzuki expects to have between five and six EV models available in those markets.

The news comes not long after the debut of Suzuki’s EV concept SUV dubbed eVX, which was unveiled at Auto Expo 2023 in India. The eVX builds on an actual production model that Suzuki says will be introduced in 2025, although it’s unclear where it will be sold.
The company is now pursuing the debut of the eVX concept with plans to produce a new line of electric vehicles. One of these looks very much like a Jimny, which given the Jimny’s popularity is being followed around the world. It’s also a good idea for Suzuki to build a Jimny EV sooner rather than later because a Chinese Jimny EV from SAIC-GM-Wuling is on the horizon. It’s hard to tell at the moment whether the Jimny EV Suzuki has teased is a five- or three-door, although adding a battery could require the extra space of the larger Jimny 5-door.

Recover from stress
The Apollo can be used to identify stress and how you recover from it. It claims you’ll recover from workouts faster, increase your ability to sleep deeply, and improve focus if you wear it for just three hours a day.
On the other hand, the Japanese automaker’s plan seems to be about going small and light, so it’s possible that Suzuki will find a way to cram the battery into the ladder frame of the smaller combustion engine Jimny. The three-door, that is – or two-door, as most of us in the US would call it.

And just like every other Jimny model we’ve longed for since the little SUV’s return, the US probably won’t get the Jimny EV. I suppose it’s for the best, because who really wants a capable but adorable Suzuki all-electric SUV when we’ve got all these Hummer EVs to crunch around?
