As a single mom, Krsitin appreciates the extra income the platform offers her.

She opened her account last year under a different name, that of Ava James.

The school district that employs her claims that she violated an article of the collective bargaining agreement and warns her that she is at risk of being fired.

The teaching assistant states that he has taken all the necessary precautions to clearly distinguish these two professions.

“I think I should be able to keep doing both. I don’t hurt anyone I’m not breaking the law. I maintain my position,” she told Global News.

Susanna Quail, an employment lawyer, says the issue is complex but workers are entitled to some privacy outside of work.

Additionally, it is not uncommon for workers in this type of position to have multiple sources of income.

The lawyer specifies: “It is important to note that this website requires a subscription and is prohibited for minors.”

Kristin MacDonald believes she should be the only one who decides what to do with her body.

“My body, my choices,” she said.

The mother confirms that her union supports her.
