A Texas man was left without a large part of his nose – after it fell under his neighbor’s car – while being viciously attacked by two pit bulls.
Marcus Kizaza is now unwilling to leave his home without a face mask because of the damage. He watched the dogs on a ring cam before they jumped and bit him outside his Fort Worth home.
Originally, Kizaza’s kids noticed the dogs in the video and thought they were cute.
He then approached them from the driveway, with Ms Leslie initially saying they were “kind” to Marcus and jumping on top of him.
However, they soon began attacking him, with Marcus calling for his wife and trying to run away from them.
Marcus Kizaza was shown on a ring camera at his home in Fort Worth a few weeks ago being attacked by the dogs
The dogs eventually bit his hands, face and legs and ripped off part of his nose before he was able to jump onto a white truck owned by a neighbor, according to NBCDFW.
“He was screaming very loudly and the dogs were really vicious. We found part of his nose was under our car,” said Bianca Mireles, a neighbor who called 911.
The paramedics and firefighters who came to help Kizaza had to fend off the dogs themselves, Mireles noted.
“The dogs were just trying to attack anyone who was around. So if you were down they would attack you.”
One of the dogs was killed after being hit by a squad car, Fort Worth authorities confirmed.
“I just saw them take the dog away afterwards in a big red bag and then spray the floor with water,” Mireles said.
Local animal welfare officers were able to remove the second dog from the scene.
Kizaza spent over a week in the hospital and underwent multiple surgeries to successfully reattach his nose before he could return home.

“I feel better now, but I also have pain in my knee and finger,” said Kizaza.
Detectives in Fort Worth said the owners, who have not been identified, have received two summonses for untied dogs.
Ms Leslie believes they have not been doing enough and the family urgently needs help to make ends meet.
“We still have to pay the mortgage. We still have children to feed. So that’s why I need to know where the dog’s owner is,” she said.
Marcus is in pain, having trouble speaking and too embarrassed to leave the house without a mask.

“I can’t speak much. I don’t want people to just see that, you know?’
Family attorney Cole McNeal said the family is not working and has expenses to settle. He plans to lobby the police to press charges and file a civil suit.
“We want to gather all the information and make sure the right people are involved,” McNeal said. “The person who owns the house, the person who rents the house, the people who live there, the dog owners.”
