The Université de Laval Rouge et Or defeated the Concordia University Stingers 31-14 on Saturday.
However, hostilities began badly for the Rouge et Or. The Stingers took a 7-0 lead in the first quarter, thanks largely to two field goals from Eric Maximuik.

However, Laval University took things into their own hands starting in the second quarter. The team took the lead in the second quarter and never looked back, scoring 31 unanswered points. The team’s defense was outstanding, allowing only one touchdown at the end of the game.
With the game still close, Enzo Dihoulou scored his first career touchdown with 15 seconds left in the second quarter. The latter had an excellent meeting and made two extremely important catches.
In the third quarter, Isaac Gaillardetz did an excellent solo job to reach the end zone and score his team’s second touchdown after receiving a pass from Arnaud Desjardins.
The Rouge et Or will also be able to thank kicker Vincent Blanchard. He made five field goals, including one from 45 yards and two more from 38 and 36 yards.
Laval is in second place in the standings with a record of three wins and one loss. The Stingers, in turn, suffered their second defeat this season.
Laval University Rouge et Or will face McGill University next week at Percival Molson Stadium.
