The little dog was rescued by a man who carefully lifted him out of the water with a digger.
According to local media, the adorable pooch fell into the water on November 24 in the city of Zhengzhou, Henan province, after becoming too curious about the work of the dredger dredging the waterway.
Luckily, the excavator driver was quick-witted and quickly lowered his shovel to see if he could get the little pup to safety.

Adorable footage filmed by passerby Mr. Liu shows the operator positioning the shovel behind the pup with incredible precision without hurting him.
Then he carefully brings it forward and tries to hold the dog so he can pull it out.
After a false start that saw the little dog fall out of the shovel’s claws, the operator managed to grab the pup a second time and successfully got him to safety.
The dredger safely brought him back to shore and dropped the very muddy but otherwise healthy passenger ashore.

Mr. Liu said he was touched after seeing that there are still many good people.
After the puppy was rescued, Mr. Liu said he learned it was indeed a stray, but friendly locals decided to take him in.
He shared footage of the rescue on Douyin, the Chinese version of TikTok.
