A TikToke user claims she was scammed by a person who asked her $1,000 for a purebred French bulldog but sent her a mixed breed dog instead.
In a video viewed by more than 50,000 people, the content creator, who goes by the name of Crystal, shared a photo of the dog she thought she was buying and claimed she was scammed. The dog with the white coat was identified as “purebred”.
Instead, the young woman was given a cross between a French bulldog and a black-haired pug.
“I hope this person stubs their toe on their kitchen table,” the TikTokeuse wrote of the person who sold her the dog.
However, Crystal’s video didn’t have the desired impact, as several netizens accused her of paying such a sum for a dog she hadn’t even seen. Others have pointed out that a true purebred French Bulldog would have cost well over $1000.
One person even advised her to adopt a dog from a shelter instead of buying one online.
In several videos released after this, Crystal showed off her new dog, for whom she appears to have great affection.
She christened him Hazel and seems very happy with her new companion.
