A luxury clothing store was ambushed by a group of thieves, using the back of a pickup truck to smash through metal shutters.
Surveillance camera footage shows the vehicle backing into Magnolia Park luxury apparel store in Burbank, California, multiple times.
The store’s owner says about $70,000 worth of items were stolen in the raid around 1:30 a.m. Thursday morning.
Although the store had security features, including a metal shop and outdoor concrete seating area, specifically designed to prevent such occurrences, the criminals broke through.
The criminals stubbornly continued their efforts, and although they had to return to the premises several times, they finally succeeded.

Owner Miki Guerra encourages people to buy something on the site so they can begin to recover from such a loss.
During the day, the shop was observed patching up with wooden planks nailed down while the owner contemplated what to do next.
While closing the store is out of the question, owner Miki Guerra urges people to buy something from the site so they can recover from such a loss. He says it will be several days before everything is back to normal.
Guerra was woken up at home after motion sensors detected a burglary was in progress.
“I was notified by ADT at 1:40 a.m. of a motion censorship. From home, I used cameras to verify that we were indeed being robbed. And then I was given permission to send the Burbank police to the scene. “They arrived at the scene minutes after the suspects left,” Guerra told
“I arrived around 1:50 a.m. to speak to BPD and review footage, which confirmed up to six cars were involved, including the pickup that was backed into the glass facade of the store and that Bending down our scissor gate that we had installed nearby.” Forty years ago we were confident that we could prevent any break-in.
“It seems like they had an idea of what they were trying to snag.” “They snagged a lot of clothing and premium items, things that usually sell out at retail,” said owner Miki Guerra
“Next we need to use this moment to improve.” “Motivated and grateful that we have a strong team to carry on,” Guerra told
“As soon as they could bend the gate far enough.” About ten suspects went into the store twice and grabbed all the clothing and accessories they could get their hands on. It took about four minutes from the break-in to the exit.
“We sell premium apparel and footwear in the streetwear category, so it wouldn’t be a surprise if we were approached based on average value per product. Next we need to use this moment to improve.” “Motivated and grateful that we have a strong team to carry on.”
“It seems like they had an idea of what they were trying to grab.” “They took a lot of clothes and we carry a lot of premium items, things that usually sell out at retail,” Guerra told KTLA.
“I would honestly say it was impressive that they pulled it off, especially considering the size of their group.”

Once inside, the hooded suspects broke into the store and confiscated $70,000 worth of merchandise, including hoodies and hats
Footage from surveillance cameras shows up to ten hooded robbers bursting into the store and running away with everything they could carry. Some were seen carrying bags and boxes full of loot.
The entire raid was over in about five minutes, and the suspects fled in several vehicles.
It later emerged that the pickup had been stolen hours earlier and was later found abandoned nearby.
“Officers searched the inside of the facility and the surrounding area but were unable to locate the suspects,” Burbank Police said in a statement.
However, officers found the truck used to ram the security door of the main store, which was parked on the street near the store.
Further investigation revealed that the truck was reported stolen.”

Police have not released any mugshots related to the raid and are asking eyewitnesses to come forward.
The nighttime activities occurred when there were few people or drivers on the road.
Police believe the breach is likely related to another incident that occurred Wednesday morning.
Around 3:30 a.m., security cameras from a video production company, F22 Studios, saw two dozen masked men attempting to break into the building.
On that occasion, the suspects attempted to use crowbars to force open the entrance to a stage area of the building.
They then ripped out the sunlight from the wall before breaking into the building, but the group fled after sounding an alarm.
