It will be the first duel of 2023 for the Bleu-Blanc-Noir as he started his training camp on January 9th. The team will travel to Florida after this meeting for the second phase of preparation. Then there are duels against Florida International University, Houston Dynamo, Inter Miami CF and the Tampa Bay Rowdies.
The PLSQ squad is led by Laval’s 2022 Coach of the Year, Boubacar Coulibaly of FC Laval. She will also benefit from four training sessions with CF Montreal Academy staff before the game, the organization said in a press release.
“We know that the PLSQ is a good league with very good players. The collaboration with the clubs, the league and Soccer Quebec in terms of the player selection process and the organization of this event has been great and we are grateful for that,” said Academy Director Marinos Papageorgopoulos. This is one of the many projects we continue to build with partners in the football community. The intention is always to contribute to the growth of our sport.”
The Football Club’s reserve team also played a first season at semi-professional level in 2022. She finished sixth out of 12 teams. AS Blainville won the PLSQ Cup last October at the expense of FC Laval.
