The Los Angeles Angels, who are in the doldrums with seven wins in their last 20 games, have decided to take matters into their own hands.
The California team on Friday remembered their first draft pick, Nolan Schanuel, who was selected by the Angels just 40 days ago.

He is the first player of the 2023 auction to play a game this season and the fifth of the last two vintages to make his big debut.
The 21-year-old also made the fastest major league baseball debut in nearly 44 years on Friday.
His fine performances at AA level certainly earned him the long-awaited call-up. Schanuel had a .370 batting average, one home run, and 15 RBIs in 21 games.
