Romell Quioto, CF Montreal's best striker in recent years, could have won over a few Major League Soccer (MLS) clubs, but his target would be the very little-known Iranian championship.
According to journalist Alvaro De La Rocha of La Voz del Deporte, Quioto signed with Tractor SC, a club in the Iranian professional league. The Tabriz city team takes fourth place in the championship standings. Quioto would be the third player from Honduras to recently join the ranks.

The option provided for in the 32-year-old's contract for the 2024 season was not activated by Bleu-Blanc-Noir last autumn, so he became a free transfer. However, after seven years in the MLS, he decided to turn his back on the MLS.
In four seasons in Montreal, he scored 34 goals and added 19 assists. The one who also wore the Houston Dynamo colors between 2017 and 2019 was named CF Player of the Year in 2020 and 2022.
