The Philadelphia 76ers star, who accepted the league’s most valuable player’s trophy before the game started, attempted to dodge Jaylen Brown and Williams, both of whom were down. However, Embiid misjudged his jump and landed directly on his head.
Williams avoided the worst and even got back into the game in the fourth quarter. He could have been seriously injured: Embiid weighs 280 pounds and his shoes are a size 17!
The Cameroonian great also went to Williams to apologize later in the game.
Joel Embiid: “My goodness. I landed on your head?”
Grant Williams: “Hey, that’s the playoff brother.”
Joel: “You all fell. I tried to fall.”
GW: “I knew you were going to the ball.”
Joel: “I tried to jump over it.”
GW: “That’s what we fight for, brother.”pic.twitter.com/CZ2tT66p88 https://t.co/M4iiruFHU3
