Stéphane Rousseau had quite a “trip” when he went singing there The voice on a whim.
The actor, humorist and investigator of Chanteurs Masqués, who shoots STAT in the studio next to that of La Voix in Longueuil, made the blind auditions a “crash” with the piece (It Looks Like) I'll Never Fall in Love Again, by Tom Jones.

The 57-year-old artist used all his stage experience to surprise trainers Roxane Bruneau, Corneille, France D'Amour and Mario Pelchat. His performance was full of energy and facial expressions, and what a voice!
It was really a last-minute decision and Stéphane even seemed surprised that the production had agreed to take part since he hadn't rehearsed his number and no sound test had been done beforehand. And further proof that it was all improvised: Stéphane was only wearing a simple T-shirt.

“Please tell me what I got myself into,” he said, just before walking through the red doors leading to the stage.
It was a member of the production who pressed Mario Pelchat's button at the very end of Stéphane's number. Then he turned the other trainers' chairs himself.
