The Russian head of state is therefore guilty of high treason because he waged a war of attrition with his Ukrainian neighbors. One of them, Dmitry Palyuga, elected representative of Saint Petersburg from the Smolninskoye district, spoke on the BFMTV antenna on Monday evening.
For him, the head of the Kremlin has “started a war that is leading Russia into catastrophe, not only Russia but also Ukraine. We believe that since the war started, everyone has been so tired of Putin and his games.”

“He’s playing with people’s lives, so we’ve really started talking more and more about it. And more and more Council officials are joining this call for impeachment. They’re asking Putin to resign.”
The decisive factor for him is the damage that has been inflicted on the Russian army in the past few days. Ukraine announced on Monday evening that it had taken over almost 6,000 km² from the Russians. “He destroys the Russian army and the Russian treasurer. Also, he says that the biggest risk for Russia is NATO’s eastward expansion, but in fact, due to his actions, NATO started to expand eastward,” said Dmitry Palyuga.
“Maybe he lied and is doing something bad to Russia. And that’s why we’re accusing him of high treason,” he said.
