New York Jets quarterback Aaron Rodgers shares that NFL fans will see him in action again this season and his goal is set, especially as his team remains in the playoff race despite their recent loss.
The former Green Bay Packers fell in his first game with his new team when he tore his Achilles tendon during his first offensive sequence of the season. The veteran is now trying to defy predictions that his 2023 campaign is ruined. As he told NBC Sports, he hopes to return to action in mid-December.
“If the doctors clear him, we will allow him to return,” Jets head coach Robert Saleh said, SNY reported.
Rodgers underwent surgery more than two months ago and has been throwing passes to his teammates during warmups in recent games and can move around without crutches. The New York club would not turn down the presence of its renowned key player as his successor Zach Wilson has had limited success. The Jets are 4-5 after suffering two straight losses, including Sunday’s 16-12 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders.
New York scored 144 points in 2023, the second-lowest point total in the NFL. His next duel is on Sunday against the Buffalo Bills.
