“I put my engagement ring up for sale and was inundated with appointment requests,” Camille said. The young nurse from Salt Lake City put the ring up for sale on Marketplace, a popular Facebook space where all kinds of items can be found. Two years after her boyfriend left her, she decided to get rid of the precious jewel. “I have received disturbing requests,” the girl said in a video on TikTok showing some of the messages received.
“Hey, I’m not interested in the ring, but I would be interested in taking you on a date sometime. “What do you think?” one admirer wrote to her. “Hey Camille, I don’t want to buy the ring but how about I take you to the country dance and we can talk about what you’re going through?” another wrote to her. And again: “I will buy it, but I will use it to ask you to marry me.”

The girl said she sold the ring to a boy in Japan: “He used it to propose to him. “It was a relief for me to give it away,” he told the Mirror.
