Abbott Elementary’s relaunch came as no surprise as workplace comedy quickly established itself in the ratings and social media for ABC. Created, written, and starring Brunson, Half an Hour is ABC’s No. 1 new comedy in two years for adults 18-49 and the No. 1 comedy of season for adults 18-49, on par with CBS’s The Ghosts, which also received early renewal for season 2.
