The news published by the Bloomberg agency. The oligarch offered to mediate the conflict. The episode dates back to earlier this month: all victims are out of danger
The Russian oligarch Roman Abramovich allegedly accused of poisoning symptoms. Likewise, the members of the Ukrainian delegation for peace talks allegedly denounced. The news was published by the Bloomberg agency and the Wall Street Journal.
The Russian tycoon, but with the heart of his business in London, had been presented as a mediator in the conflict between Russia and Ukraine. He is rumored to have flown in a private plane from Turkey (where he was seeking refuge from sanctions) to Moscow in the last few hours, with a letter from Zelenskyy to Putin. The oligarch had previously met with the Ukrainian president. A new round of negotiations between two delegations from the respective foreign ministries is scheduled for tomorrow in Turkey.
Abramovich, 55, with a Russian and Israeli passport, has repeatedly been cited as the point of contact between the two parties to the conflict: his mother was born in Ukraine. Another detail supporting this thesis is the fact, reported by American media, that Zelenskyy asked Washington not to include Abramovich in the “black list” of sanctioned Russian citizens. He is credited with a fortune of 6 billion euros.
The poisoning attempt reportedly dates back to early March. Symptoms emerging after a meeting in Kyiv included “red eyes, peeling skin on the face and hands.” Since then, reports the Wall Street Journal, the health of those affected has improved and none of them is lifethreatening. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy, who met Abramovich, had no problems. Western experts investigating the incident say it is difficult to determine whether the symptoms were caused by a chemical or biological agent.
