An 88-year-old woman is in critical condition and six other passengers were injured after a violent swerve occurred at the Mont-Tremblant MRC in the Laurentians region in Amherst on Wednesday afternoon.
A 54-year-old driver reportedly lost control of his Honda Pilot SUV for unknown reasons.

“Around 4 p.m., police were called to intervene on Route 323 north in Amherst,” said Sûreté du Québec spokeswoman Geneviève Gagnon. It is about a driver who lost control of his vehicle before swerving into the ditch. There were seven people on board. The disembodied claws have been requested. There is a woman in critical condition.
All passengers were taken to a hospital. A 52-year-old man and a 48-year-old woman were seriously injured, the other four people, aged 50 to 54, suffered minor injuries.
An investigator and a collision investigator were dispatched to the scene of the accident. The road has been closed to investigations since 6 p.m. The latter is still in progress.
