A motorcyclist is on the brink of death after an accident followed by a possible hit-and-run that shut down a portion of Highway 13 on Saturday.
The event happened just before 11 a.m. on 32nd Avenue in Lachine.

“There was an impact between a vehicle and a motorcyclist,” said Stéphane Tremblay, spokesman for the Sûreté du Québec (SQ). The vehicle did not stay where it was, it is considered a hit-and-run. […] A woman in her 30s was taken to hospital in critical condition. We fear for his life.”

Collision reconstruction specialists and SQ serious crime investigators were at the scene of the accident around 2 p.m. Saturday. Police are still looking for the driver of the vehicle.
