On Thursday (31) he recorded a video to thank those who supported his recovery. Especially to the family of the donor of your new heart (Watch the video below).

Faustão records a video for the first time since the transplant to thank fans

“I would like to thank, especially thank, José Pereira da Silva, Fábio’s father, who showed an incredible greatness and an absurd generosity that allowed me to stay alive. I’m moved, he gave me the chance to live again.”, he says Faustão.

Moved, he said to Fábio’s family: “I will never forget you. And one day I will thank you personally.”

According to the family, one of the organs that Fábio donated was his heart. Faustão also sent a message to José Pereira da Silva, the donor’s father:

“The only thing I promise is to honor your son’s memory by doing only good.”

Faustão also spoke about the recovery process in the video. He said he was already leaving.

“I still have a scratchy throat from being intubated, but I’m fine. But I’m very willing… I’ll go. I’ve been there for three days. That’s all I wanted to tell you.” A kiss. May God give you. I double everything I received. This blessing. Thanks.”

The moderator also spoke about the importance of organ donation.

“And now it’s time to motivate everyone to make the country the world’s first organ donor. We need to raise awareness. It doesn’t have to be mandatory. Everyone needs to say it,” he said.

In the case of a heart transplant, the order of priority on the waiting list is based on the severity of the patient’s condition. (see below)

“The selection created by the state transplant system’s computerized management system to offer this recipient’s heart produced 12 patients who met the requirements. Of these, four were prioritized, with the patient taking second place in this selection,” explained the São Paulo State Transplant Center.

The medical team of the patient who held the first position decided to reject the organ and therefore the offer went to the second patient in the selection who was the presenter.

According to the headquarters, Faustão has blood type B. The waiting time for a heart transplant for potential recipients in this group is 1 to 3 months.

According to his wife, Faustão had been due for a heart transplant since August 8th

Anyone who requires constant hospitalization (with intravenous medication and blood circulation support devices) has priority over the person who is waiting for the organ at home, for example. Wait This does not take into account whether the patient is operated on in a public hospital or a private hospital.
