Vladimir Putin on Wednesday joked about the G7 leaders recently having fun poking fun at the Russian president’s masculine image, saying it would be a “disgusting spectacle” to see them shirtless.

British Prime Minister Boris Johnson, opening the G7 summit in Germany on Sunday, asked whether world leaders should keep their jackets on or take them off to show off their “pecs”.
“We must show that we are stronger than Putin,” he launched, while Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau added, “We will have the right to demonstrate shirtless horseback riding,” referring to a famous Vladimir Putin photo session Moved to Shirtless Horseback in 2009.
“I don’t know if they wanted to undress to the waist or lower, but it would have been a disgusting sight anyway,” Putin quipped at a press conference in Ashkhabad, the Turkmen capital.
