According to the Defense Ministry, Russia has attacked the Ukrainian city of Lviv with cruise missiles

LONDON – Russia has attacked military targets in the western Ukrainian city of Lviv with high-precision cruise missiles, the Russian Defense Ministry said on Sunday.

Russia has hit a fuel depot used by Ukrainian forces near Lviv with long-range missiles and used cruise missiles to hit a facility in the city repairing anti-aircraft systems, radar stations and targeting devices for tanks, the ministry said.

“The Armed Forces of the Russian Federation continue offensive actions within the framework of the special military operation,” ministry spokesman Igor Konashenkov said in a statement.

The ministry showed video of the rocket attacks in Lviv.

Officials in Lviv, just 40 miles from the border with NATO member Poland, said people were injured in the rocket attacks.

Russia also used long-range sea-launched missiles to destroy an arsenal of S-300 missiles and BUK anti-aircraft missile systems near Kyiv, the ministry said. Russian forces also destroyed a number of drones, sources said.

Russia has started destroying Ukrainian fuel and food storage facilities, meaning the government must disperse stocks of both in the near future, Ukraine’s Interior Ministry adviser Vadym Denysenko said on Sunday.
