During a press conference on Wednesday, Margaritis Schinas, one of the vice-presidents of the European Commission, recalled that in 2023, tens of thousands of young Americans registered to vote on social media at the invitation of the famous singer Taylor Swift. The pop star will tour Europe between spring and summer 2024, and Schinas said he hopes Swift can also convince young European voters to vote and get involved in politics, with European Parliament elections coming up on June 6-9, 2024 to participate in life:
