According to the Pentagon, the US has developed a special drone for Ukraine

The Pentagon said this Thursday (21) that the socalled ghost drones, which are part of a $800 million arms package for Ukraine were quickly developed by the US Air Force for Kyiv and have capabilities similar to armed switchblade drones.

After failing to take the capital Kyiv and being forced to withdraw from northern Ukraine, Russian forces regrouped this week to launch a new offensive in two eastern provinces known as Donbass.

Ukrainian forces have deployed Western weaponry, including Stinger and Javelin missiles, along with drones like Turkey’s Bayraktar TB2 and the Switchblade made by USAto meet Russian troops.

Drones allow Ukrainian forces to attack Russian soldiers and equipment from the air without necessarily having to get close to their targets, as would be the case with some ground weapons.

“It was quickly developed by the Air Force in response to specific Ukrainian requirements,” Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said.

Few specifications are known about the drones, such as range or what their exact capabilities are.
