Peru has five clubs included in the International Federation of Football History and Statistics (IFFHS) ranking of the best teams in the world. This group also includes Universitario de Deportes, which won the national tournament after defeating Alianza Lima. The blue and white team also appears on the international list. However, none of them are the best-rounded squad.

According to the IFHHS international rankings, what are the five best teams in Peru?
Accordingly IFHHS, the club that tops the list of the most important in Peru is Sporting Cristal. The Rimense team is best positioned in the international rankings, appearing at number 92 in a total list of 394 teams. Find out what position the rest of Peru’s teams are in below.

Universitario de Deportes is voted the most valuable club in Peru
Forbes voted Universitario de Deportes the most valuable club in the country, ahead of Sporting Cristal and Alianza Lima. In addition, it was the only Peruvian national team to be included in the list of 50 Latin American teams.

“When selecting this ranking, Forbes magazine considers three important aspects to arrive at a final number: the value of the squad, the value of the brand and the value of its stadium. In addition, only teams playing in the first division are counted,” the publication said. “Universario is worth $68.8 million,” the Cream club’s official website reported on the recognition.

What are the 10 best clubs in South America according to the IFHHS rankings?
At the level of South America, precisely from Conmmebol, the IFHHS has excluded the Peruvian teams from the ranking since Universitario, Alianza Lima or Sporting Cristal do not appear. On the other hand, the teams featured in this list are mainly from Brazil.
