247 The United States believes Russia may be able to make tactical advances in Ukraine in the coming months, John Kirby, White House strategic communications coordinator, said Thursday.

“This is a dynamic conflict and we must remember that Russia still has some offensive capabilities and may be able to make some tactical advances in the coming months,” Kirby said during a press conference at the White House, according to Sputnik.

This Thursday, the United States announced a new $150 million military aid package for Ukraine. The latest tranche includes additional air defense weapons, artillery ammunition and antitank weapons, the Pentagon said in a statement. Specifically, it includes ammunition from the National Advanced SurfacetoAir Missile System (NASAMS), AIM9M antiaircraft missiles, Stinger antiaircraft missiles and other ammunition from the High Mobility Artillery Rocket System (HIMARS).

Also included are 155mm and 105mm artillery shells, tubelaunched, optically tracked, wireguided (TOW) rockets, Javelin antitank weapons, over 2 million small arms rounds, night vision devices and other equipment.
